Zoning Board Minutes

July 11, 1990

MEMBERS PRESENT: Steve Blanchard, Joanna Eckstrom, Neil Faiman, Herb Klein, and Tom Mitchell.
ACTING CLERK: Neil Faiman
AGENDA:
  • Binghamt
  • Dorward
  • Flanders

Chairperson Neil Faiman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Faiman reported that Ben Bingham (applicant, Case # 6/13/90-1) had indicated by telephone his desire to withdraw his application. There was some discussion of the correct procedure for withdrawing an application on which the hearing had already been begun. It was agreed that the case could be closed without a decision upon receipt of a written request from the applicant, or a verbal request in the continuation of his public hearing.

Mr. Faiman reported that he had given the date incorrectly in the public legal notice for the hearing (as posted and as published in the Milford Cabinet). Therefore, the Dorward and Flanders public hearings could not legally be held this evening. He had scheduled a new meeting for Tuesday, July 17, and had already posted the notices and placed a legal notice in the Nashua Telegraph. The abutter notices had carried the correct date (July 11). Therefore, rather than renotifying abutters, the Flanders and Dorward cases would be continued from July 11 to July 17; any abutters present would thereby be informed of the continuation.

Ms. Eckstrom moved to continue the Dorward and Flanders cases to July 17; Mr. Blanchard seconded; approved unanimously.

The board held an informal discussion with Frank Flanders and Leona Davis (applicants, case # 7/11/90-2) about the procedure for hearing variances.

Mr. Mitchell moved to adjourn; Mr. Blanchard seconded; approved unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Neil Faiman
Acting Clerk
