October 12, 2004 — Decision
You are hereby informed that the application of Victoria and William Soodak for a variance to Section 5.1 of the Wilton Zoining Ordinance was granted by the Wilton Zoning Board on October 12, 2004.
The variance will permit the Soodaks to keep their miniature horse, “Cappucino,” as a pet in the barn and yard on Lot L–45, 52 Island Street. It is granted subject to the requirements that
- the Soodaks will continue all the control measures listed in their application, including feeding the horse with a fly-suppressing feed additive and regular removal of all manure and soiled bedding from the property;
- only the one miniature horse is allowed on the property;
- the Soodaks are required to register the horse with the Wilton Police Department; and
- the applicants are responsible for any necessary corrective action if bacterial contamination of the Souhegan River or the canal should be discovered to be coming from their property.
