Members of the ZBA
The Zoning Board has five members, appointed by the Board of Selectmen for staggered three year terms, and up to five alternate members, who may take the place of regular members who are absent or disqualified from a particular case. Alternate members participate in ZBA hearings and discussions, but don’t vote on decisions.
The members of the Zoning Board are:
Member | Status | Term expires |
---|---|---|
Peg Duggan | Alternate Member | 2026 |
Joanna K. Eckstrom | Vice Chairperson | 2026 |
Robert Neil Faiman, Jr. | Chairperson | 2025 |
Andrew Hoar | Member | 2027 |
Linda Jennings | Alternate Member | 2026 |
Judith Klinghoffer | Member | 2025 |
Jeff Stone | Member | 2027 |

We suggest attending a few ZBA meetings to see what actually goes on. You could also talk to a present board member or to the Land Use Administrator.
If you decide you’d like to be a member, you can submit a letter of application to the Select Board. It’s not a requirement, but most ZBA members get their feet wet by starting out as alternates. Alternate members don’t vote unless they are sitting in for a regular member, but they do participate in Board discussions.
