Notice of Site Visit — October 8

Willreign Properties, LLC has requested variances to sections 5.1 and 5.2 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance to allow two dwelling units in the existing rectory building and three dwelling units and an office and workshop in the existing church building at Lot K-72, 47 Maple Street and 49 Maple Street, where the ordinance does not allow more than one dwelling unit, more than one dwelling, or commercial uses.

The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at 47 Maple Street to hold a site visit for this application. The site visit is a continuation of the public hearing on the case, and is open to the public. Its purpose is to assist the Board members and other interested parties to become familiar with the property involved in the application. Board members and other interested parties may, through the Board chairperson, ask questions about, and the applicant may point out, site details pertaining to the application, such as boundaries, contours, proposed buffers, driveways, etc. No other testimony will be taken, and no other discussion should occur.

Gregory Marshall Allen has requested variances to sections 4.2(b), 4.6, 8.1, 8.2.1, 8.2.4, 8.5, 12.3(c), and 17.1(c) of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of a single-family home and septic system on Lot B-97, 317 Forest Road, where residential uses are not allowed in the Industrial District, the septic system would be closer than allowed to wetlands, the applicant requests a waiver of the requirement for a snow removal plan, the proposed construction would be closer than allowed to the front lot line, the lot does not satisfy the Aquifer District density requirements, and the proposed development would re-establish a discontinued nonconforming use.

Notice of Public Hearing — October 11

The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Florence Rideout Elementary School Gymnasium, 18 Tremont Street to hold hearings on the following cases and other business, and any other cases that may be submitted by the Tuesday, September 27, 2022 application deadline. Masks are required at all Wilton ZBA meetings.

The applications for these cases, and any other documents that may have been received by the ZBA in connection with them, are available for inspection in the Wilton Land Use Office.

Application Deadline

The next Zoning Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Any applications to be considered at this meeting must be filed in the Wilton town offices on or before Tuesday, September 27. See How to Apply for details.
