Tuesday, May 13, 2008 — Notice
Donald J. Slowik has applied for a special exception under the terms of section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance, to permit the construction of a driveway that will cross a wetland area in connection with a proposed subdivision of Lot B–31–3, 224 Pead Hill Road.
The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will consider this application in a public hearing in the Wilton Town Hall Courtroom on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
The application for this case, and any other documents submitted with it, are available for inspection in the Wilton Town Offices.
Tuesday, May 13, 2008 — Continuation
The hearing on the application by Donald J. Slowik for a special exception under the terms of section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been continued to Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
If granted, the special exception would permit the construction of a driveway that will cross a wetland area in connection with a proposed subdivision of Lot B–31–3, 224 Pead Hill Road.
Site walks to view the proposed crossing area will be held Sunday, June 8, at 9:00 am, and Monday, June 9, at 6:30 p.m.
The Zoning Board has requested that the applicant: explain the calculation of the impacted wetland area, specifically whether the existing farm crossing is included, with a justification if it is not; provide construction detail for the proposed crossing; provide alternative culvert options and the rationale for the chosen option; and flag the wetland impact areas, including rip-rap placement, prior to the site walk.
Sunday, June 8, 2008 — Site Visit
The Zoning Board will meet Lot B–31–3, 224 Pead Hill Road at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2008 to hold a site visit for this application.
The site visit is a continuation of the public hearing on the case, and is open to the public. Its purpose is to assist the Board members and other interested parties to become familiar with the property involved in the application. Board members and other interested parties may, through the Board chairperson, ask questions about, and the applicant may point out, site details pertaining to the application, such as boundaries, contours, proposed buffers, driveways, etc. No other testimony will be taken, and no other discussion should occur.

The application by Donald J. Slowik for a special exception under the terms of section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been granted.
The special exception will permit the construction of a driveway that will cross a wetland area in connection with a proposed subdivision of Lot B–31–3, 224 Pead Hill Road, as shown on the plan labeled “Subdivision plan, Land of Donald J. Slowik, Tax Map B Lot 31–3, Revision D.”
This decision shall expire if the construction or use permitted by it has not begun by Thursday, June 10, 2010. (Wilton Zoning Ordinance section 17.4)
The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, July 10, 2008, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested.
