Tuesday, March 20, 2007 — Notice

Daniel and Judy Poitras have applied for a special exception under the terms of Section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance, to permit the construction of a driveway which would cross two wetland areas for a subdivision of Lot C–147, 39 Town Farm Road.

The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will consider this application in a public hearing in in the Wilton Town Hall Courtroom on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.

The application for this case, and any other documents submitted with it, are available for inspection in the Wilton Town Offices.

Tuesday, March 20, 2007 — Continuation

The hearing on the application by Daniel and Judy Poitras for a special exception under the terms of Section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been postponed to Tuesday, March 27, 2007. If granted, the special exception would permit the construction of a driveway which would cross two wetland areas for a subdivision of Lot C–147, 39 Town Farm Road.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007 — Continuation

The hearing on the application by Daniel and Judy Poitras for a special exception under the terms of Section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been continued to the Tuesday, May 8 meeting of the Zoning Board. If granted, the special exception would permit the construction of a driveway which would cross two wetland areas for a subdivision of Lot C–147, 39 Town Farm Road.

The Board will hold a site walk on the property at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14.

Tuesday, May 8, 2007 — Continuation

The application by Daniel and Judy Poitras for a special exception under the terms of Section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been continued to the June 12 meeting of the Zoning Board. If granted, the special exception would permit the construction of a driveway which would cross two wetland areas for a subdivision of Lot C–147, 39 Town Farm Road.

The Zoning Board has requested that the applicant provide additional information about the possibility of eliminating the lower new wetland crossing, reconfiguring the lower driveway area for improved safety, possibly lengthening the existing 36" culvert, and widening the driveway at the existing crossing.

A site visit has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at which the applicants will have any revised plans available.

Tuesday, June 12, 2007 — Decision

The application by Daniel and Judy Poitras for a special exception under the terms of Section 11.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been granted. The special exception will permit the construction of a driveway which would cross two wetland areas on Lot C–147, 39 Town Farm Road, with a total wetland impact of approximately 720 square feet, as shown on the sheet labeled “Alternative Driveway / Property Line Plan,” sheet 2 of 2, dated June 8, from the “Subdivision Plan of Map C / Lot 147, Daniel J. and Judy A. Poitras, 39 Town Farm Road,” which is included in the case file.

This decision does not affect the authority of the Town Road Agent to approve or disapprove the proposed driveway and curb cut.

This decision shall expire if the construction or use permitted by it has not begun by Friday, June 12, 2009. (Wilton Zoning Ordinance section 17.4)

The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, July 12, 2007, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested.
