Tuesday, June 12, 2012 — Notice

Jason Dobbins has applied for a special exception under section 5.3.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance, to permit gun sales as an internet business and by retail to family and friends as a home occupation on Lot D–58, 205 Burns Hill Road.

The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will consider this application in a public hearing in the Wilton Town Hall Courtroom on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

The application for this case, and any other documents submitted with it, are available for inspection in the Wilton Town Offices.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012 — Decision

The application by Jason Dobbins for a special exception under section 5.3.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been granted. The special exception will permit gun sales as an internet business as a home occupation on Lot D–58, 205 Burns Hill Road. Retail sales from the property will be permitted, but limited to no more than four sales per month, by appointment only. No inventory is to be kept in the home except for one or two guns being held for previously agreed in-home sale.

This decision shall expire if the construction or use permitted by it has not begun by Thursday, June 12, 2014. (Wilton Zoning Ordinance section 17.4)

The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, July 12, 2012, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 — Decision Vacated

The Zoning Board has determined that, due to an error on the part of the Board, no abutter notices were mailed prior ro the June 12, 2012 hearing on the application by Jason Dobbins for a special exception under section 5.3.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance. Therefore, the Board has vacated its decision to grant that special exception. The special exception would have permitted gun sales as an internet business as a home occupation on Lot Dā€“58, 205 Burns Hill Road.

The Board considered this application de novo in a hearing on Augusr 14, 2012, in Case #8/14/12ā€“2.
