Tuesday, February 12, 2019 — Notice

Steven J. and Mary E. McDonough have applied for a variance to sections 6.2.4 and 17.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of an addition to the existing house on Lot H–134–1, 9 Brown Road, which will be closer to the front lot line than allowed either by the Zoning Ordinance or by a variance previously granted on October 9, 2018.

The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will consider this application in a public hearing in the Wilton Town Hall Courtroom on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

The application for this case, and any other documents submitted with it, are available for inspection in the Wilton Town Offices.

The February 12 Zoning Board meething has been cancelled because of the winter storm warning. The hearing on the McDonough case has been rescheduled to the March 19 meeting.

Tuesday, March 19, 2019 — Continuation

The hearing on the application by Steven J. and Mary E. McDonough for a variance to to sections 6.2.4 and 17.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been continued to Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Courtroom. If granted, the variance would allow the construction of an addition to the existing house on Lot H–134–1, 9 Brown Road, which will be closer to the front lot line than allowed either by the Zoning Ordinance or by a variance previously granted on October 9, 2018.

Tuesday, March 19, 2019 — Decision

The application by Steven J. and Mary E. McDonough for a variance to to sections 6.2.4 and 17.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been granted. The variance will allow the construction of an addition to the existing house on Lot H–134–1, 9 Brown Road, which will be closer to the front lot line than allowed by the Zoning Ordinance or by the variance previously granted on October 9, 2018, as shown on the plan submitted with the application.

This decision shall expire if the construction or use permitted by it has not begun by Friday, March 19, 2021. (Wilton Zoning Ordinance section 17.4)

The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, April 18, 2019, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested.
