The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will continue its public hearing on this application on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in the Florence Rideout Elementary School Gymnasium, 18 Tremont Street.
Decision
The request by Michael Bronson for a special exception under section 5.3.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been granted. It will allow a state inspection station as a home occupation on Lot L-6-1, 8 Seagroves Street.
The decision is subject to the following conditions:
- Hours of operation are limited to 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- No more than 6 vehicles per week.
- No repairs other than those necessary to enable a vehicle to pass inspection.
- No body work.
- All work to take place inside a closed, sound-insulated garage.
- No outside storage of any materials.
- No more than one customer vehicle may be parked outside at any time.
- No no-resident employees.
- All waste to be contained inside while on site and properly disposed of off site.
This decision shall expire if the construction or use permitted by it has not begun by Thursday, December 14, 2023. (Wilton Zoning Ordinance section 17.4)
The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, January 13, 2022, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested.
