The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will continue its public hearing on this application on Tuesday, July 17, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilton Town Hall Courtroom, 42 Main Street.
Decision
You are hereby notified that the application of Thomas A. Dorward (applicant) and the Estate of Marie Wright (owner), Lot K-36, Maple Street, for a Special Exception under the terms of Section 5.3.1 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance, has been granted.
The Special Exception will permit Mr. Dorward, as owner, and resident members of his family to operate a Beauty Salon as a home occupation in the residence on Lot K-36, as set forth in the application. The Special Exception is granted subject to the following restrictions:
- Hours of operation shall be restricted to 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
- Customers shall be taken by appointment only; and that fact shall be clearly indicated on the sign.
- The owners shall be responsible for operating the business so that two parking spaces in the driveway will prove adequate.
- No more than one non-family employee shall be allowed on the premises.
The proposed use also requires Site Plan Review by the Wilton Planning Board.
The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, August 16, 1990, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested.
