Robert and Sara Spittel have requested a variance to section 6.2.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance and/or a special exception under section 17.3 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance to remove and replace an existing nonconforming garage with a new one which would still be closer to the front lot line than allowed by the Ordinance on Lot C-47, 748 Isaac Frye Highway.

The Town of Wilton Zoning Board of Adjustment will consider this application in a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wilton Town Hall Courtroom, 42 Main Street.

Decision

The request by Robert and Sara Spittel for a variance to section 6.2.4 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance and/or a special exception under section 17.3 of the Wilton Zoning Ordinance has been granted. It will remove and replace an existing nonconforming garage with a new one which will still be closer to the front lot line than allowed by the Ordinance on Lot C-47, 748 Isaac Frye Highway.

This decision shall expire if the construction or use permitted by it has not begun by Thursday, April 9, 2026. (Wilton Zoning Ordinance section 17.4)

The selectmen, any party to the action or proceedings, or any person directly affected thereby may apply for a rehearing of this decision. A request for a rehearing must be filed in writing with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on or before Thursday, May 9, 2024, and must fully specify all grounds on which the rehearing is requested.
